Sees the City’s Ripped Backsides & Sees the Winding Ocean Drive
Originals, Acrylics and mixed media on canvas, c50cm x 60cm (no frame needed) – £600 each
This pair of paintings are a commentary on the contrast between the city and the sea. The quotes are from Iggy Pop’s, “The Passenger”. “Sees the City’s Ripped Backsides” depicts the assault on the senses from urban life – the industrial, commercial and built up nature, the sense of never sleeping, the few places to retreat to find solace. “Sees the Winding Ocean Drive” on the other hand, whilst using a similar layout, depicts a place of peace, calm and solitude.
