My three works selected for the National Acrylic P

My three works selected for the National Acrylic Painters` Association (National Acrylic Painters’ Association) summer exhibition which has returned to St Ives after several years on tour.

It’s a lovely exhibition and truly shows the diversity of acrylic paint.

The show runs in the Crypt Gallery in St Ives until 5pm Friday, and is open 10 til 7 daily.

I’m delighted to have three paintings available fo

I’m delighted to have three paintings available for sale in the National Acrylic Painters` Association (@natacrylicpaintersassociation) summer exhibition.

The first is The Ghost Ship 1 - a quietly haunting abstract work.
Its largely monochrome palette gives it the reflective stillness of something suspended between past and present. It was inspired by the rediscovery of the Endurance in the Antarctic seas in March 2022 - found astonishingly intact after 107 years beneath the ice. It channels both the ship’s fate and its remarkable survival. Shackleton’s choice of name feels prophetic here, echoed in the subtle use of the word END, a nod to both the vessel’s identity and its final resting place.
The show runs from Saturday 15 to Friday 21 August 2026 in the Crypt Gallery in St Ives.

While the world burns, there’s been an eclipse, and we’re awaiting a by-election of clowns, we’ve been revisiting Picasso in Malaga after almost 17 years.

What comes through is that he was undoubtedly a genius, had a life well lived, loved clowns and was as modest as the most hubristic person ever (see quote on photo 2) 😂

I’m delighted to have three works selected for the National Acrylic Painters` Association (@natacrylicpaintersassociation) summer exhibition.

This year’s exhibition returns to St Ives, Cornwall. Previous exhibitions have included venues in London, Liverpool, Birmingham, Durham, Cardiff, Chichester, Somerset, Devon and, of course, Cornwall.

The show runs from Saturday 15 to Friday 21 August 2026 – with an opening event on Saturday 15 August, 6pm to 8pm, to which you are warmly invited if you’re in St Ives.
