The Harbour Elements works form part of my Harbour Collection  –  drawing on the elemental textures and atmospheres of a working harbour—water and sky, sand and wood, concrete and granite, metals, salt, and rust.

Many of the abstractions incorporate found materials, echoing the physicality and weathered character of the shoreline.

The series sits in close dialogue with the Vessels Collection, which focuses more specifically on the forms and labour of boatworks.

This one also makes a nod to the London Underground roundel – truly merging the city and the sea.
