The Salt Inside

The Salt Inside is a largish artwork that creates a bold statement.

It forms part of my Harbour Collection – inspired by the elements to be found in a working harbour such as water, sky, sand, wood, concrete, granite, metals, salt and rust.

The quote “The Salt Inside the Rising Tide” is taken from the song “Forgiven” by Echo & The Bunnymen  and is used to represent the salt of the sea, the stinging effect of salt bringing tears to one’s eyes, and the emotions evoked by ghosts of the past from the fishing industry.
