Seagull (Flight Matters)

Original – Oils, acrylics, sand and resin on box canvas framed in white wood box float frame, 65cm x 65cm x 6cm

Seagull (Flight Matters) is a largish artwork that creates a bold statement.

It forms part of my Seagulls Collection – based on the notorious seagulls of St Ives.

The quote “For most gulls it is not flying that matters, but eating. For this gull, though, it was not eating that mattered, but flight” is taken from novel “Jonathan Livingston Seagull”, written by Richard Bach, about a bird determined to be more than ordinary.
